LINK Houston compiled this dataset to illustrate how and where pedestrians and cyclists were seriously injured (i.e., incapacitated) or killed in Houston, Texas from January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2017. Data Source: The underlying data are from the Texas Department of Transportation Crash Records Information System (CRIS) (accessed May 2, 2018). The map reflects 548 (85%) of 641 total crashes that resulted in an incapacitating injury or death of a pedestrian or cyclist in 2016 and 2017, the other 15% of crash records did not include adequate geographic location information to ascertain latitude and longitude.
